Santa came to Tata and Grammy's house too!!

The Grassman Family Christmas Party! It has been five years since I have been there for a family Christmas.... it meant so much to me to be able to spend time with everyone! I don't think that Rhett quite knew what to do with himself. There were so many little girls!!! (my cousin's kids) Whoohoo... he is such a flirt and attention hog!!!

Rhett with his great grandpa Grassman, who is doing great after his heart surgery!

Rhett loves his uncle Chris :)
Bonnie, Erin, Livy, Monica, Sue and Connor
Our 'second' Christmas morning.....

Dad gave Rhett his first Tonka dump truck, just like Grandpa Grassman gave Chris his first Tonka truck :)

I think santa went a little crazy!!! Look at all those gifts... Rhett was loving it!
mmmmmmmm! What a morning :)

Christmas Morning

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Waking up with his morning sippy of milk. He was so content and was in no rush whatsoever to open his gifts. In fact, I had to open most of them for him. Funny that the gift he was most excited about was an 88 cent toy cell phone I picked up at the last minute at Walmart. Ha!!
Connecting the webcam with Tata and GrammyLia... we were on it for almost 3 hours!! Rhett just can't keep his little fingers off the keyboard, so it makes it difficult. We had to cover the keys with a magazine, but he is a little too smart for that. Eventually we had to hide the computer and just set out the camera where he could not see it!
One of his gifts just had to be a 'German made' dozer ;) He is sitting in his new radio flyer wagon!

Christmas morning was wonderful. We were in our Pj's until almost noon. We opened presents with my parents in FL on the webcam. For lunch we went to Mike's parents for lunch. Marion made a beautiful Goose! (very hard to get in hawaii!) That evening I spent packing... we left for FL the next day.

Christmas Eve at Our House

Rhett got a haircut from his Opa Kost on Christmas Eve before dinner. He looks so much older now! :(

Rhett loved playing with his cousin Rebekah's new tea set.
Alex loved his inflatable Superman muscles... so funny!!!

Oma Kost and her new grandbaby, Isaiah
Presents!
We hosted our Kost family Christmas Eve dinner at our home this year. It was a seafood theme... yummy!!! I made a macadamia crusted Ono with Mango butter as the main dish. Side dishes were "green" mashed potatoes, shrimp cups, salmon pesto spread, lobster bisque, salad, crudites.... and don't get me started on the deserts!!!
We had a wonderful afternoon and enjoyed the time spent with family... especially the newest member of our family, little Isaiah :)

MOPS Family Christmas Party

My great friend, Beth

Patty and Tina

Our MOPs leadership team got together for a wonderful family Christmas party at the Makoff's home. The kids had a blast... sang carols and played games. It was a wonderful afternoon!

Waikoloa Christmas Parade

The whole town turned out for the Waikoloa Christmas parade! I met my girlfriends and thier kids down at the elementary school a block from our house to watch it. They had all kinds of keiki festivities at the school afterwards.... hula show, magician, jumping castle, food, etc. ... the kids were exausted!!!

Making Cookies!

We are re-starting a tradition of making sugar cookies this year! Every year growing up I loved to decorate cookies for Christmas. This year I went to 2 cookie exchange parties, so I needed to make a whole lot of cookies!! Rhett obviously can not decorate cookies yet, but her sure did like tasting the icing ;)

My Christmas Decorations

Last year I shopped the after Christmas sales to get lots of great decorations for our house. I have most everything put up... it's just weird becuase it is hot outside ;) I made garland to go across all of our sliders and matching wreaths to go on either side of our Tv cabinet. I had to pack away a lot of our regular decor to make room for the Christmas stuff! We have three trees this year.. a ful size one in our living area that is decorated in cranberry and gold (okay, garnet and gold!!! Go Noles! ha!!) a full size one in the playroom that has Hawaiiana decorations and a mini one that has all of our family/keepsake ornaments. We will have to switch out the mini one for a full size one as the years pass. I bought tons of lights to put up, but those aren't quite done yet. Mike did get up the icicle lights around the front and the two big 40' palms in the front have them going all the way up! I feel like our house has wires strung everywhere... I need to figure out a way to hide them all!!! Rhett couldn't care less about the trees, he is more interested in the plug and wires....UGH!

Arby's Cookies

Being that Mike is working 15 hour days this past week, I decided to make 'Arby's' cookies for the crew at our store as a thank you for thier hard work :) Rhett goes to bed around 7pm so I usually hve 3 1/2 hours to myself each night. In the past few days I have also made over 100 Christmas sugar cookies for some cookie exchange parties that I am going to. Now I just have to decorate them ;) UGH!

Freshly Napped

Rhett is so sweet when he wakes up from his nap. It is about the only time that he will sit with me and cuddle. I love it!!!! It usually is not long before he is back to his wild and curious antics, but I do cherish those moments of stillness with him :)

Blizzard warnings in Hawaii!!!???

The other day we had blizzard warnings for the top of Mauna Kea. We had atleast 9 straight hours of rain, which is very abnormal for our area that tends to be dry. The clouds finally cleared from the top of the mountain today and I was able to catch a picture. Some of the snow had already started to melt, but BOY was there a lot up there!!!
